Salt Lake City International Airport, USA
In 1920, a single hangar served as an Air Mail outpost. By 1926, the first passengers arrived, and the airport was renamed Salt Lake City Airport. Now, 100 years after those very first passengers, the fourth and final phase of the new SLC Airport will be completed–giving the City’s Department of Aviation a truly world-class hub to be proud of.
It was back in 2012 when the expert team at Zoeftig began consulting with the airport’s Design, Facilities, and Management teams. Zoeftig provided support during the early planning stages to help ensure all goals were met in the pursuit of delivering the highest levels of passenger experience.
Salt Lake City International Airport and the City’s Aviation Department chose to contract with Zoeftig, selecting the industry-leading Zenky Plus seating range along with the Boost in-seat power system, a decision the SLC teams said was an easy one.
A few bespoke adjustments to the design and materials used, gave the design team assurance that the Zenky Plus would harmonise perfectly with the new airport’s aesthetic.
With unbeatable warranties and exceptional strength and stability, the airport’s facilities team were confident that the products would withstand the test of time in the most extreme of high-traffic environments.
With more than 12,000 powered seats installed, the Airport’s Management Team knew every SLC passenger would benefit from maximum comfort and the ability to recharge themselves, as well as their devices.
The SLC story is a hugely successful one, and Zoeftig is proud to have played a small part in delivering this beautiful new airport to the people of Utah.
